I want to make sure you have a great experience

Whether you’re looking for a low-maintenance winter getaway or a luxurious estate, my goal is to find you the best home possible and to make your dream of owning a home in Arizona a reality.

Many of my clients initially purchase something relatively small as a winter retreat or second home, then decide to sell and purchase something bigger when they start spending more time in Arizona, or even decide to make it their permanent residence.

I’m looking to help you throughout your lifelong real estate journey, so my primary objective is to make sure you’re delighted with your real estate transaction and will call on me for your next move and recommend my services to your friends and family.

I’m a Real Estate Geek!

Buyers and Sellers I work with usually appreciate my no-nonsense approach and frankness. When deciding how much to offer on a home to buy, or at what price to list your home for best results, you need a professional who can be straightforward and tell you what you NEED to hear, not just what you WANT to hear.

Although I always try to be tactful and diplomatic, this is by far the hardest part of my job, and an area that can cost me business when other agents inflate values for Sellers, or minimize property negatives for Buyers.

Like all geeks, I can sometimes get a bit lost in my work, but I enjoy what I do, and I hope you’ll enjoy working with me.

An experienced agent, my story

I was born in Toronto Canada and moved to Southern California when I was a child. That’s where I met my husband, and his job took us to Connecticut. I left a management position in the insurance industry and started my real estate career in 1993 while we were still living in Connecticut. Terry and I moved to Arizona in 1994, and we’ve both been licensed agents ever since.

Although I’ve always lived in the East Valley, during the boom years of 2004-2007, when the market and the internet “thing” really took off, I worked for a company called NewHomes.com. Working for NewHomes,  I helped people find homes in new communities across the Valley, and got used to doing a lot of driving. During just a few short years, I sold hundreds of homes.

When it became clear the market was coming to a grinding halt, we put our heads together and decided that the demographic that would be least affected by a downturn in the market would be retirees. They would still want to retire, sell their larger homes in colder climates, and move to the warm Arizona sunshine. So, I built my first website, GolfAt55.com, which had basic information about all of the Phoenix area 55+ and retirement communities. Since I was already used to doing a lot of driving, it didn’t bother me to cover the active living communities across the entire Valley.

The website ranked higher and higher on google every year, and soon business really took off. Visitors and clients tell me they love the site, and think it’s the best site out there for Arizona’s retirement communities.

I love working with the empty-nesters, snowbirds, and retirees, and there are a number communities that work really well for them right in my own backyard, like Las Sendas, Mountain Bridge, Red Mountain Ranch, Tuscany Villas, and several others. So, I decided to focus my attention on serving buyers and sellers in the same demographic, but closer to home, here in Northeast Mesa.

Oh, and I’m a golfer too.

Terry and I are avid golfers and spend most of our free time on the golf course. We spend the majority of our time on Northeast Mesa courses, but love to venture out to other parts of the Valley too. Even on vacation, we’ll usually play at least 2-3 courses. If you love golf too, give us a call and we can set up a time to get together.
